Antwerp Ski and Snowboard Railbattle awesomeness

The long awaited Antwerp Ski and Snowboard Railbattle finally took place in the crowded industrial halls of Antwerp’s Park Spoor Noord. The venue used to be some kind of train repair shelter or at least something of that kind. For this occasion Threesixty Events amazed hundreds of spectators with a huge metal structure, real lowland fridge snow and 4 different rail features to hit in the most creative ways. And man, were Yannick’s crew’s efforts rewarded! We saw a few of the craziest railcombo’s ever. Some stuff would even make JP Walker and Jeremy Jones cry for their mommies.

Anyways, with the fair share of Dutchies showing up, the contest truly became a battle of the lowlands. As co-sponsors we gathered a part of our own troops, sending young Jens Rummens and French rail-surgeon Anto Brotto to the top of the scaffolding. They fought for what they were worth but this time they were overpowered by some gnarly foreign fridge kids.

So far for competitiveness, we all know that snowboarding is essentially a 200% fun activity! Since style is another thing that matters in snowboarding we were stoked to see our guys upping the ante with some steezy moves.

We hope that everyone had as much fun as we did and we sincerely hope that the 360 Event guys will come back bigger and even bolder next year! Thanks heaps to the organization, the sponsors and everyone that made this awesome event happen. Thanks to everyone visiting our booth and showing some support for our lowland snowboard scene! Big up to yourself.

As a recap, we made the following little Youtube compilation for everyone to enjoy. Pics will be available on Facebook soonest as well.

Oh and by the way: word is out that the snow has started dumping pretty much everywhere in the Alps! The season is on!
